About the Event
On the 3rd Thursday of each month in 2023 at 8:00 p.m. EST, Escape is hosting a casual meetup for community care! Join & meet peers who understand what it's like to be LGBTQIA+ while experiencing cancer. Events are open to Adolescent and Young Adult LGBTQIA+ identifying Survivors, Patients, & Caregivers!
How we classify Adolescent and Young Adult:
Patients and Survivors:
- Individuals diganosed with cancer before the age of 39
- Minimum age to participate is 13 years old.
- If you were diagnosed before the age of 39, but are now older than 39, you can still participate in this space.
Caregivers:
- LGBTQIA+ identifying caregivers ages 15 to 39.
- LGBTQIA+ identifying caregivers supporting someone diganosed before 39.
All current events are hosted on Zoom. Registration is encouraged if possible and safe. No information about this being an LGBTQIA+ event will be in an email communication. It will simply be a confirmation with a zoom link. But if registration is not possible due to safety reasons or otherwise, please view our "Get Involved" page to see our other secure options for participation--no email registration required!
